What Is a Thumbprint?

You’ve probably seen our Live Rosin Cold Cure and may have even tried our Live Rosin Jam. But Thumbprints take our solventless concentrate line to another level entirely. Our Thumbprints consist of a 1g core of dense, creamy Cold Cure, enveloped by a 1g ring of live rosin jam, a saucy, high terp extract that’s smooth, stable, and loaded with flavor. Picture a bullseye, or a fingerprint pressed into a jar; that contrast between the opaque, buttery center and the translucent, terp-heavy outer ring is how this concentrate combo got its name.

Why Is It Unique?

Most concentrates offer one texture and one experience per strain. Our Thumbprints deliver two distinct consistencies and flavor profiles in one jar, and they’re designed to be dabbed together. Our crew of cannabis connoisseurs works to find the perfect pairing of cold cure and jam. The cold cure core provides a rich, full-spectrum body high and bold, complex flavor from slow-cured trichomes. The live rosin jam surrounding it typically offers a more intense, euphoric onset and a louder aroma and flavor. When combined, you get the best of both worlds: the depth and smoothness of cold cure with the potency and sauce-like clarity of jam. No other concentrate format gives you that dynamic, layered experience in a single dab.

What Sets Our Thumbprints Apart?

Our Thumbprints start with top-shelf, fresh-frozen cannabis that is never dried or cured. It’s processed into ice water hash, then freeze-dried and pressed into live rosin using low heat and low pressure. From there, the rosin is cold-cured at stable, cool temperature for days to weeks, developing a wet, badder-like texture while preserving volatile terpenes. Meanwhile, a complementary strain is mechanically separated into jam and THCa diamonds. Combining them into one jar takes two strains that are exceptional enough to stand alone and thoughtfully combines them together. Because Thumbprints are entirely solventless and require significant material loss, making them a premium, small-batch product. Thumbprints are craft cannabis extraction at its highest level.

Tips for Use

  1. Use a clean, cold-start dab rig or e-rig. Low temperatures (470–520°F) preserve the delicate terpenes from both textures.
  2. Scoop from both layers. Use your tool to pick up a small amount of cold cure with a touch of jam. The mixture is where the magic happens. (we highly recommend using a hot knife tool when handling your thumbprint)
  3. Don’t stir the jar. Thumbprints are built as two distinct zones. Stirring blends them prematurely and loses the contrast in flavor and effect.
  4. Store properly. Keep the jar upright in a cool, dark place (around 60–70°F). Avoid the fridge if you plan to use it within a week or two as condensation can degrade the jam. 
    1. If you plan to savor your thumbprint, refrigeration is the best option for long term storage. To prevent condensation please allow the jar to come to room temperature for 10-15min before enjoying!
  5. Start small. The jam portion is often higher in THCa, so if you’re new to solventless extracts, take a smaller dab than usual and wait 10–15 minutes.
